Conditions We Treat

Dysarthria
Dysarthria often is characterised by slurred or slow speech that can be difficult to understand. Dysarthria treatment is directed at treating the underlying cause of the condition when possible, which depends on which area of the nervous system is affected.
Treatment depends on the cause, type, and severity of the symptoms. Possible goals of treatment may include:
- Slowing the rate of speech
- Improving the breath support so the person can speak louder.
- Strengthening oral muscles
- Increasing tongue and lip movement
